JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall functioning of the Residential Unit. Responsible for the first line supervision of direct care staff. Provides a healthy, therapeutic, and safe environment for residents and their children through direct care.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Provides direct supervision of residential counselors.
2. Provides supervision, protection, and care of residents individually and in groups at all times.
3. Provides assistance to each resident in working with a group and in handling individual problems.
4. Provides direct supervision of residential counselors.
5. Administers discipline and setting of limits for behavior.
6. Documents residents progress; identifies possible need for professional services; communicates such findings to professional staff.
7. Maintain regular, consistent, and timely attendance.
8. Maintain confidentiality as required by St. Anne’s, licensing, HIPPA, and other regulatory agencies.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
1. Participates in mandatory trainings, in-services and meetings.
2. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology or equivalent experience. Experience in residential treatment or work with adolescents preferred.
2. Must posses and maintain a valid California Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
3. Physical ability to perform P.A.R.T., administer first aid/CPR and operate an Agency motor vehicle.
4. Good oral, written, and organizational skills 5. Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred 6. Ability to independently use both a computerized and traditional clinical records system.
